KOOKBOX
The name KookBox comes from the first
fin'd surfboards designed by Tom Blake in 1929 or early 1930. In the
early 1930's the Cigar Box or KookBox a hollow surfboard/paddleboard
was used by certain U.S. special forces in training exercises. The
units trained with a Canadian MD and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert who
wrote a hand-to hand combat guide around the same time.
