On my 5'8" Eric Arakawa GX, I used to ride F4 thrusters, but i fell on my board and busted out the middle fin, which i replaced with a nubster (which does exactly what it advertises). However, this set up would be too loose in larger surf, I got 4 3/4" honeycomb halo fins to increase hold and fin area (rather than buying a new thruster set). As soon as i hit the water with my new set up (4 3/4" halo honeycomb side fins and a nubster), it felt like the board paddled much easier. On the waves, these fins perform so excellent words cannot express. These fins added much more drive and hold than the F4 thruster side fins. I could turn much tighter and I just sped over sloppy sections on a wave. If i pump for speed, I can easily outrun the wave. GET THESE FINS especially if you want to win paddle battles against long boarders or wave hogging short boarders.
