It looks like an arrow.  Noah Shimabukuro who is one of Donalds team riders from Maui says that Donald got the idea from paddles he saw back long ago when the beach boys would do the stand up paddling in Waikiki.  The blade is designed to make fast and easy strokes.  It comes with that awesome blade cover too!

Just got word that Brewer came into town for  a couple a days to finish up our order of Tor-o Models. For you folks that are not familiar with the Tor-o model (model name is like the fatty tuna) its a retro high performance board combo this retro board is not one of those sluggish bulky boards this is a board for someone that wants the float like a retro board but also wants a performance shortboard all in one board... for more detail check out the link to a vide.

Looks like a Funbaord and shortboard mix



A pin tail with two stingers for easy turning.
Five fin design -  two side fins are Future 3/21 Vectors.
The three center fins are pivot fins(no rack).
Use the board with all five fins for fast down the line and loose off the top riding.
This is the best of both worlds - A quads  for speed and Tri fin for drive off the bottom.


The Rails are something very interesting.
The rail bevels down to a very thin rail. Ive ridden some boards with rails thinner than this
and believe me they work good!! Very responsive.
I think Im going to get a board like this for myself.
I can see why this board is selling like mad for Stewart.
They have been telling us for months to check it out , boy Im glad we brought this model in.
Its going to be a hot seller for sure!!! - dk

I just wanted to say that this fin is “WOW”. I originally purchased the fin for my son to use on his 9’1” Bonga.  It was on a Saturday and we hit the wave’s right after buying the fin.  When he got his first wave I asked him how the new fin was working.  He had this huge smile on his face and stated “good”.  I asked him to describe it further and he could not sum up the words for the way the fin worked on his board.  So on Monday I traded fins with him.  What a huge difference the fin made on my board.  I could snap turns on a dime, shoot down the line to make the next section, and nose ride like I was in a dream.  This fin is AWSOME!  It fully unlocks the potential of the board and the surfer.  Mind you I’m using this on a 9’0”, 3 7/8” thick Infinity Secret weapon Rad Nose rider. Even on this thick board it works awesome.

The Halo fin was inspired by the Stand Up Paddle boards and wanting to make something very unique and original. Donald wanted to make a fin that would be a lot easier to turn while riding such a massive board.  The fins have a very unique shape with the front edge being flat and back edge curved.  It almost gives the perspective of the fins being backward, but ironically makes the board turn much easier and forgiving.  You don't need to step all the back on the tail like traditional fins, but are able to turn the board a little more further up on the board.  While doing R&D on the fins, DT has created many variations of the fin to complement all different kinds of boards, from standard thrusters, mid-lengths, and Longboards, the Halo fin covers them all.  Donald makes 14 different size halo center and side fins for endless combination and experimentation.  It's a must have for all surfboard quivers.

What size fin for what size boards?

2 3/8" - 4 1/8" twin sets are for Longboard sides and quad setups.
5" twin is for fish twin or quad front fins.
4 1/2" - 4 3/4" thruster sets are for standard thruster boards or the side fins can be used for SUP sides.

7"-9" Center fins are for all Mid-length, Longboard, and SUP shapes.

My experience?

Very good fin for all types of boards and size waves.  It feels like they go much faster/less drag than a normal fin.  Almost giving a hydro foil feel to them.  I use them in my SUP, carbon fiber fish, and longboards.  It's a fin that everyone should try cause they are so different than the industry standard.
