There’s nothing better than a sure thing, especially when it comes to surfboards. Whether you are taking a late drop on a heavy wave or throwing it vertical, you want a board you know you can depend on, and that’s exactly what Pyzel set out to create with the aptly named Sure Thing.
This curvy yet streamlined board is both fun and performance-oriented for small surf, giving you the best of both worlds. It carries speed through soft conditions, but handles bowley waves well and knows its way around a power hack.
The wide, full outline and double-bump squash harken back to the 1980s, when boards were fast and flat and built for shredding.
A medium/low rocker and single concave to vee make for a fast board that holds its speed across the flats, but that can also be turned when sections get critical.
“Gas pedal” channels in between the fins provide more lift and control, and a bit of extra foam up in the front third of the board mean that paddle power will never be an issue.
This board epitomizes Pyzel’s ethose of “funformance” for people who want to surf hard, but don’t mind a bit of help when the waves get gutless
Intended to be ridden three to five inches shorter and with more volume than your normal “good wave” board, this is the shredstick your quiver has been quivering for.
CONSTRUCTION: EPOXY - EPS Marko Foam
Pyxel’s new ElectraLite Epoxy Tech boards are built to replicate the ultra-light weight feeling of a Pro board, but with more strength and durability then PU. They are all handmade in the U.S., light and strong, with an engineered flex that is designed to last. These boards are Marko Recycled Stringerless EPS blanks, custom designed Web-fused Carbon reinforcement on the bottom and deck for long lasting, resilient flex memory, and glassed with 6&4 ounce DECK, BOTTOM 4 ounce and with combo of E and S cloth. The result is a very light board with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, added flotation for better paddle power, and a fresh, lively feel. ElectraLite Tech is a great way to bring new life to your favorite High-performance board, or to get a little extra out of your Funformance, small wave design.
