Chasing All the Fun With CJ Nelson’s Outlier Mid-Length - CJ Nelson’s Outlier in a New 7'0" 2+1 Model

Although CJ Nelson is best known for his stylish, technical surfing on traditional noseriders, he also loves to shred waves and even rides a mid-length on occasion. To make sure that he gets the best out of every session, he has a quiver full of functional shapes that thrive in all conditions, and the 7'0" Outlier is his go-to board when the waves are punch and head-high and he feels like carving in the pocket.
A refined speed hull mid-length based on the boards that Michael Peterson and Nat Young revolutionized the art of surfing on in the 1960s, the new Outlier is smaller and looser than the original version, making it more responsive and maneuverable in the pocket.
Extra curve has been added to help it hold turns and carve through steep sections, while the width has been increased to help maintain momentum through flat sections. The addition of side bits in a 2+1 fin setup provides a bit more control in hollow sections and through aggressive maneuvers, and a range of modern design elements make this traditional mid-length super easy to ride. Built to go fast and get loose while still preserving the freeride feel of the 1960s, the 7'0" Outlier will take your surfing to the next level without forcing you to sacrifice your style and flow.
It comes in Thunderbolt Technology and is also available as a single fin in 7'6", 8'0" and 9'0"versions.
