JSās Monsta Box 2020 with Easy Rider Option
JSās Monsta Box is the classic hybrid success story. Blending elements of the original Monsta and the popular Blak Box, the Monsta Box walks that fine line between performance shortboard and groveler, allowing for a wide variety of shredding in anything from knee-high dribble to overhead peaks.
The 2020 Monsta Box has been updated with a bit more rocker and a bit less width than the Blak Box 3, but in a package that is fuller and flatter than the Monsta 2020. The volume is hidden well, making this a board that paddles well and picks up speed in trim, but without sacrificing maneuverability. The clean single to double concave helps the board lift in weak waves, producing speed and drive while maintaining control through heavier sections.
The Monsta Box 2020 in HYFI construction is JSās most popular hybrid shape, and itās easy to see why. If you want a shortboard that works in a wide range of conditions, itās hard to beat this shape. And with the addition of the Easy Rider dimensions, the Monsta Box is now suitable for larger surfers who need a bit more volume. Extra foam hidden in the board's curves adds extra paddle power, even for stout, strong surfers who often find standard shortboards to be a bit anorexic.
