Firewire Surfboards — Limited Restock

Four Firewire models are in stock this week — two restocked and two currently available. Sizes are moving quickly on the restocked models. If you've been watching any of these, now is the time.

Firewire Mindcraft IBolic 2.0 — Tomo x Kelly Slater — Restocked

Firewire Mindcraft IBolic 2.0 Tomo Kelly Slater surfboard Hawaiian South Shore

The Firewire Mindcraft IBolic 2.0 is the first Tomo x Kelly Slater collaboration in several years. The elliptical torpedo nose shortens swing weight for quick direction changes, while Kelly's bump wing round tail provides release behind the front fins for tight pivots with a smooth, flowing feel. A single-to-double concave keeps the board engaged with the wave face throughout the ride.

The parallel outline lets you ride 2–4 inches shorter without sacrificing paddle power — a genuine daily driver. Front-foot friendly, generating speed down the line without constant back-foot pumping. The 5-fin setup gives you thruster control or quad speed in weaker waves. Built for 2–6 foot surf with a sweet spot at waist to head-high.

Best for: Surfers who want a versatile, user-friendly performance shortboard that rides shorter than expected without losing paddle efficiency.

Firewire Machadocado Helium 2 — Rob Machado — Restocked

Firewire Machadocado Helium 2 Rob Machado surfboard Hawaiian South Shore

Inspired by Rob Machado's observation that an avocado's proportions are simply correct, the Firewire Machadocado Helium 2 carries an avocado-inspired outline that makes wave catching easy with more volume in a shorter package. Slightly wider and thicker than a standard shortboard, providing excellent stability with fast wraps and quick speed generation from knee-high to overhead.

The double concave allows uncommon ease of transition from rail to rail, with a vee through the fin cluster. The thruster configuration supports versatility — twin fin and twin with a trailer setups both work. The Machado 2+1 Fin Set is recommended for tight turns and extreme control.

Best for: Surfers who want a forgiving, fun shape that catches waves easily while still delivering responsive rail-to-rail performance.

Firewire Spaceship IBolic 2.0 — Kelly Slater & Mike Woo — In Stock

Firewire Spaceship IBolic 2.0 Kelly Slater Mike Woo surfboard Hawaiian South Shore

The Firewire Spaceship IBolic 2.0 is the board ridden by the 11x World Champion during his Kirra sessions in March 2024. Shaped by Mike Woo (@woosurfboards), the Spaceship represents decades of R&D — the result of Mike and Kelly setting out to craft a more conventional outline designed for hold in tubes, turns on rail, and hold in round wave faces from Canggu to Coolangatta.

Kelly's favorite shape for good waves. A rounded pintail with single concave in the front half running into a double concave between the feet, performance rails, and rocker to fit into the curve of good waves. The DNA of a Bali tube shooter — excels at reef passes, point breaks, and works as a performance shortboard at waves like Lowers.

Best for: Experienced surfers chasing performance in good waves — reef passes, point breaks, and powerful beach breaks.

Firewire Dominator Pro Helium — Dan Mann — In Stock

Firewire Dominator Pro Helium Dan Mann surfboard Hawaiian South Shore

The Firewire Dominator Pro Helium is master shaper Dan Mann's performance-oriented evolution of the popular Dominator 2.0. Refined volume distribution and a pulled-in outline for enhanced maneuverability, built to handle conditions from thigh-high to overhead and hollow surf. Firewire's Helium construction delivers the perfect balance of performance and durability.

This board maintains the DNA of the original Dominator while offering enhanced responsiveness for more advanced surfing. Truly comes alive in chest-high and above conditions — sweet spot in punchy waves with some curve, from small beach breaks to head-high and overhead pockety waves where it sits tight in the pocket.

Best for: Skilled surfers who've outgrown the Dominator 2.0 and want a more performance-oriented shape for quality waves and surf trips.

Flying Diamond Fins — FDX1 Arriving April 10

Brand new to the shop — Flying Diamond FDX1 fins arrive April 10. Built around a neutral geometry designed to serve as a performance baseline across your entire quiver. Preorder now, pick up in store tomorrow.

Flying Diamonds FDX1 Tri Fin Set — Arriving Tomorrow

Flying Diamonds FDX1 Tri Fin Set FCS II surfboard fins Hawaiian South Shore Hawaii

The FDX1 Thruster Fin Set is Flying Diamonds' balanced tri-fin template — not overly upright or raked, engineered to work as a quiver-wide performance reference point rather than optimizing for a single wave type. AirFlex construction uses a polyurethane foam air core with high-strength fiberglass and epoxy resin shell, delivering the lightest possible weight with optimal rebound under load.

The balanced flex pattern is lively and responsive through turns, stable and controlled when conditions demand it. Available in Medium and Large. Compatible with FCS II (Dual Tab 2) and Futures fin systems. Speed, flow, and response — a consistent, predictable fin you can trust across different boards and conditions.

Best for: Surfers who want one reliable thruster set that performs consistently across multiple boards in the quiver.

Flying Diamonds FDX1 Tri Quad Fin Set — Arriving Tomorrow

Flying Diamonds FDX1 Tri Quad 5-fin set surfboard fins Hawaiian South Shore Hawaii

The FDX1 Tri Quad is a five-fin set covering two complete configurations in a single purchase. Run it as a quad using the four side fins, or as a thruster using the center fin and the two front side fins. Both setups use the same FDX1 template — neutral, balanced geometry built to function as a quiver-wide performance reference point. One purchase covers a full thruster and full quad, no additional fins needed.

AirFlex construction throughout — polyurethane foam air core, high-strength fiberglass and epoxy resin shell. Available in Medium Black Multi-Tone and Large Gray Multi-Tone. Compatible with FCS II (Dual Tab 2) and Futures.

Best for: Surfers who want the flexibility to run thruster or quad on the same board without buying two separate fin sets.

HSS JPN Model Wetsuit — Vest & Longsleeves

Hawaiian South Shore JPN model wetsuit vest 2mm limestone neoprene Japan

The HSS JPN Model Wetsuit is 100% made in Japan from limestone-based neoprene — environmentally friendlier than petroleum-based suits, and warmer, longer-lasting, thinner, and softer. Hawaiian South Shore has taken over the StrawHat line of premium Japanese wetsuits and rebranded it under the HSS logo. The suits are still made from the same high-quality limestone-based neoprene in the same factory in Japan.

The front-zip design does not impede paddling, makes the suit easier to put on and take off, and reduces the chance of overstretching the material. Added elasticity allows it to fit tight on the body without limiting motion. Designed specifically for breezy trade-wind winter days in Hawaii. Available in Vest 2mm and Longsleeves.

Best for: Hawaii-based surfers who want a premium Japanese wetsuit built for local conditions — warm, flexible, and durable.
