Futures Fins Restocked
The wait is over. Four of the most requested Futures fin sets are back in stock at Hawaiian South Shore. Whether you're looking for the proven performance of a World Champion's signature fin or the speed-generating design of a Santa Cruz shaper's quad set, we've got options for every style of surfing.
John John Florence Techflex Thruster
The John John Florence Techflex thruster is John's daily driver and the fin he rode exclusively to three World Championships. His approach in both waves of consequence and high-performance competition demonstrates the versatility of the Techflex construction. These fins deliver stability and predictability at high speeds while remaining springy and responsive in more playful conditions.
The neutral all-around template works in virtually any wave type and any condition. With a Speed Control rating of 3.2, the JJF Techflex sits right in the middle of the performance spectrum, making it an excellent choice for surfers who want one set that handles everything from beach breaks to reef passes.

Alpha Reverse 3/2 Twin+1
The Alpha Reverse 3/2 Twin+1 is designed to surf your favorite twin board at full throttle. The "Reverse 3/2" refers to a twist in the foil through the top third of the fin, adding an additional 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees less toe. The Reverse aspect straightens the toe angle only in the tip, creating two separate foil surfaces that keep the fin engaged on rail. Pedal to the metal.
Made in Huntington Beach, the Alpha construction combines Bureo's NetPlus recycled fishing nets with Futures' Compound 6 (C6) carbon and air-infused technology. The proprietary Vector Foil features a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, increasing surface area, water attachment, and lift. The result is tons of drive, speed, and grip through turns.

Ethan Ewing Control Series Large
This is the fin that Ethan rides. After years of prototyping and fine-tuning with his quiver, Ethan Ewing has committed to this thruster set as his primary fin option. At all Championship Tour stops, in virtually all conditions, this thruster is his go-to.
The Ethan Ewing signature thruster is built in solid fiberglass construction for a consistent flex pattern, offering stability and control. This signature release uses the same DHD template currently available in Honeycomb, but now in Ethan's preferred Fiberglass with fine-tuned foils to suit his flawless power surfing on his Darren Handley quiver. Proven to work in all conditions, Ethan has ridden the large size to consecutive Final 5 finishes on the WSL CT over the last three seasons.

Stretch Quad Honeycomb Blue
Designed by Santa Cruz, California shaper William Riedel of Stretch Surfboards, the Stretch Quad is the performance quad that all other sets measure up to. The honeycomb construction combined with Stretch's concave foil on the front fins and symmetrical foil on the rear fins creates a unique feeling of traction and maneuverability, ideal for building speed.
Both front and rear templates feature Stretch's signature beak-tip design to provide ultimate four-fin performance. The pivot template category makes these fins particularly effective for tight turns and quick direction changes. With a Speed Generating ride number of 7.4, expect plenty of drive out of turns, especially in beach breaks and in-the-pocket surfing situations.
HSS Exclusive Apparel
Our Hawaiian South Shore exclusive apparel line represents what we believe quality surf clothing should be: practical, durable, and rooted in island heritage. Each piece is designed for the lifestyle our customers live, whether that means early morning sessions, post-surf coffee runs, or just representing the shop wherever you go.
Longsleeves Tee SURFPOINT
Some garments just make sense, and our long sleeve shirt is one of them. Whether you're heading out for an early morning session or meeting friends for coffee afterwards, this is the kind of shirt that fits naturally into your day.
Built with a substantial 6.1-ounce fabric, each shirt combines practical features with reliable construction. The double-needle stitching at the collar and hem ensures durability, while the taped neck and shoulders maintain their shape through regular wear. We've even quarter-turned the fabric during construction to prevent that bothersome center crease. A good shirt should be reliable without calling attention to itself. That's exactly what we've made here.
