Hatchet Fin Review
At just 17 years old, Kalei from East Oahu knows her equipment. She's been riding the South Shore Hatchet 9" fin for over a year and has nothing but good things to say.
As Kalei describes, this fin is ideal if you want something in between a high performance fin and what you'd find on a traditional longboard. It's got the drive and hold for solid carves, but also allows you to nose ride with stability.
Kalei has it set up on her 9'2" O'hua hybrid shape from shaper Steve Morgan. She usually takes it out at bowls or Queens, where the Hatchet excels in punchy, steep waves. After a year and a half of testing, it's clear Kalei loves how this fin performs.
In her words, if you're looking for versatility in a single fin that can handle everything from logging to carving, the South Shore Hatchet is highly recommended. Kalei's stoked on it and we're betting you will be too!
