Yea, the suits are a little out of the price range and comfort zone of our core customer, but that’s luxury fashion. One thing’s for sure, these are amazing wetsuits made by real surfers and it was fun to be challenged to create the highest quality, best functioning wetsuits produced by hand in japan by our friends at axxe for one of the world’s top luxury fashion houses. Vissla was honored to work alongside dior artistic director kim jones to present a wetsuit collection that combines innovation, couture style, and respect for the environment. Inspired by a deep tie with nature, dior looked to vissla to collaborate on a completely original wetsuit collection produced in small batches featuring proprietary quick dry recycled jersey fabrics, custom recycled hollow fiber thermal liner, and the finest japanese foam. We created wetsuit designs with the right fit, function, and materials. The dior design team styled it as only a french fashion brand could and our expert manufacturing partner axxe wetsuits, produced each wetsuit by hand to perfection in their facility in japan. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ the marquee wetsuit of the collection is the 3mm fullsuit that features the hybrid u-zip entry system for ease of entry and elimination of flushing, dior “cd diamond jaquard” thermal torso lining made of recycled polyester for warmth, and gbs seams for maximum sea and performance.
