It's been a while since I came to Don Quijote to buy Japanese daikon radish for tonjiru (pork miso soup). After all, daikon radish from Japan is the only good one😩. Korean daikon radish doesn't have much moisture and isn't suitable for grated radish or stewed dishes.
Since then, I only buy Japanese daikon radish at Don Quijote or Nijiya.

Oh—😩 Today wasn't about daikon radish, was it?🤣

This Japanese confectionery shop is the oldest in the US.
Apparently, a Japanese immigrant from Hiroshima who missed Japanese sweets opened the shop long ago‼️

It's often bought as a souvenir by locals, and among their offerings, everyone particularly loves Chichi Dango.
It's fluffy with a subtle coconut flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. Although it's called "dango" (dumpling), it's more like mochi (rice cake). It's so delicious, I can't stop eating it🤣.
If I find it, I definitely buy it. This shop is in an inconvenient location, so I don't go there just to buy it, but if it's at Don Quijote, then✌️.
I'm not tricking you, please try it‼️

Banana 🍌 story
Don Quijote has many types of bananas. Apple bananas 🍌 are available at any supermarket, but I've only seen these Baby Bananas at Don Quijote. They are sweet and delicious.
The size is just right. I put one next to a regular banana to show the size. So small💕.

You can buy as many bananas as you like by weight. If it says LB, it's priced by weight.
If it says EA or Pack, it's the price per bag. Many fruits and vegetables are sold by LB.
Eggs and tofu, for example, are by EA.
Please use this as a reference when shopping at the supermarket.

The watermelon 🍉 in Japan was delicious, so I bought one here, but it was awful😩. I was fooled by the red color. Fruit really is best in Japan.

The famous old man in charge of fruits at Don Quijote was there for the first time in a while. He said, "These grapes 🍇 are sweet—!! Try them, but if you have diabetes, don't eat them—🤣." Then, the grandmas who were holding grapes put them back👵🤣.
A dangerous age🤣.
