This morning in Hawaii, it's light rain, and the wind is pretty normal, or rather, almost no wind at all.

However...
We can't let our guard down yet 😨

Oahu's Situation Yesterday

Yesterday, Oahu was particularly bad on the west side,
with damage like roofs blown off and thick trees uprooted.

This morning, it was so noisy outside that I went out to the lanai...
And lo and behold, the trees in my condo's garden were uprooted 😱

I've lived here for 30 years, but this is the first time I've seen something like this.
It really made me realize how strong the wind was yesterday.

State of Emergency and Impact

Yesterday, the governor issued a state of emergency.

Due to that impact,
・Today, schools are closed
・It affects people working for the state and city
・An email also arrived from the Japanese Consulate

The consulate is really diligent,
They consistently provide updates on infectious diseases, weather, and even Japanese elections!!

Today in Hawaii...

It looks a bit calmer, but
Hawaii is still stormy today 😩
