Takayama DT Flex Fins

The Donald Takayama Flex Fin gives you what most single fins can't: nose riding stability and performance turning in one template. The bottom two-thirds of the fin follows an upright pivot design for quick, responsive direction changes. The top third rakes back significantly, creating the hold and drive you need when walking to the nose or drawing out a committed turn. You don't have to choose between the two styles — this fin delivers both.

Every Flex Fin is handcrafted by Larry Allison in California using 29 layers of 7.5-ounce fiberglass, hand-foiled from tip to base. Larry has been perfecting this craft since 1971 and has been making Donald Takayama's fin templates for nearly 30 years. The result is a fin with controlled flex dynamics — responsive without being loose — that no mass-produced alternative has been able to replicate.
