ハーレー・イングルビー HIHP スピード (9'1) 4+1フィン サンダーボルト レッド

I’ve been riding the 9'1" Harley Ingleby HIHP in the Thunderbolt Red technology for the last couple of months, and I've been having an absolute blast on it. I mostly surf the South Shore—spots like Ala Moana Bowls, Rockpiles, Pops, and a little bit of Diamond Head. The flex on the Thunderbolt Red is incredible. During that big swell we had a couple of weeks ago, dropping into those bigger waves was amazing. You can literally feel the board flex at the bottom of the wave, giving you that extra power to finish your bottom turn and get right back up high into the lip.

I came into the shop looking for a specific board, but the crew suggested I try the Harley Ingleby instead since it’s one of their best sellers. I ended up getting one for Christmas, and I absolutely love it. Compared to my old custom board, it’s a night and day difference. It’s light, super fast, and turns so well—it honestly feels like a shortboard under your feet. They recommended I run it with a thruster setup, and it has been perfect. I just took it out yesterday in some seriously howling wind and choppy conditions, and it handled the textured water with no problem at all. It rode great. I was so excited after that session I had to come back into the shop just to tell them how good it went. Huge thanks to the guys for pointing me in the right direction!

I’ve been riding the HIHP (the black construction), and let me tell you, this board absolutely loves the juice. In smaller, regular longboard waves it's fine, but as soon as the surf gets some size, it's like a gun in disguise—the board just turns on! It's crazy how it handles. I usually run the Harley tri-fin setup on it, but I’ve also experimented with the quad setup and really like how it feels. It turns out a couple of girls I surf with even run it as a single fin and love it, so it's super versatile.

I love it; I had to come back for another one because it’s so good. I was skeptical in the beginning to switch over, but I’m glad I did—it surfs unreal. I’ve taken it all over the North Shore, West Side, and Town in medium-sized waves. A lot of guys say Thunderbolt isn’t a normal epoxy board, and it’s true—it handles really well even when it’s windy. I have no complaints; it has handled everything I’ve taken it out in so far. I just ride it with the thruster setup that was recommended [Harley XLs] and it works great.

I recently picked up the Harley Ingleby HiHP model in the Thunderbolt Red construction. All my other boards are custom glass, so this was my first time riding a Thunderbolt. It is way lighter—it actually feels like a shortboard. I took it out to Diamond Head on a perfect day and the board felt great. It's fast and it just glides. At 5'2" and 135 lbs, I found the paddling to be excellent; it wasn’t too floaty at all, it just felt right. I’m running it with the Harley thruster fin set, and it’s a perfect setup. I can really get on it and paddle deep. It’s a perfect board

I've had the HIHP for seven months, and it's still the best board I've ever had. I surf it at Rockpiles and Bowls, and when I go to the country like at Makaha, it holds up well. It's super loose, light, and fast. I'm 6'1" and 217 pounds, so the board doesn't bounce around much on windy, choppy days. I was riding the Harley Thruster fins, but you hooked me up with the two-plus-one setup for the first time. The board goes above my shorts when I sit on it, which is good for full surfing.
