Firewire Surfboards — Restocked With Limited Sizes
Four Firewire surfboards came back into stock this week, all with limited sizes remaining. Firewire builds boards in collaboration with some of surfing's most respected shapers — the lineup this week spans high-performance shortboards to versatile mid-lengths, covering a wide range of skill levels and conditions.
Firewire Mindcraft iBolic 2.0
The Firewire Mindcraft iBolic 2.0 is the first collaboration between shaper Daniel Thomson (Tomo) and 11-time world champion Kelly Slater in several years. The elliptical torpedo nose reduces swing weight for quick direction changes, while Kelly's bump wing round tail creates a release point right behind the front fins — allowing tight pivots with a smooth, flowing feel. A single-to-double concave keeps the board engaged through turns. The parallel outline lets most surfers ride 2–4 inches shorter without sacrificing paddle power.
Built on iBolic 2.0 construction — a 2 lb EPS foam core with high-density composite deck skin, two layers of 4 oz E-Glass, and bio resin — it delivers a traditional flex feel at a competitive price point. The design is front-foot friendly, generating speed down the line without constant back-foot engagement. Five-fin setup gives you thruster control or quad speed depending on conditions.
Best for: A front-foot friendly daily driver built for 2–6 foot surf. Tomo designed it to be approachable for intermediate surfers while still performing for experienced riders.

↑ Back to topFirewire Boss Up iBolic
The Firewire Boss Up iBolic is the natural evolution of the S-Boss shortboard — pushed into mid-length territory after 18 months of development. It carries the S-Boss DNA: a blunt nose, a "saucy little FRK tail," and a parallel rail outline. The bottom contour shifts to a more subtle single concave, giving the board long, flowing drive rather than the tight pivoting of its shorter sibling. Dan Mann and Kelly Slater's collaboration produced a mid-length that performs from small beach break all the way to Tahiti.
Built in Firewire's iBolic construction, sized 6'6" to 7'6". Firewire recommends riding it with approximately 13 liters more volume than your standard shortboard. Dan Mann recommends a quad configuration with larger front fins and slightly upright 80/20 foil rear fins to fine-tune sensitivity and looseness.
Best for: Intermediate to advanced surfers looking to explore mid-length performance without giving up the drive and responsiveness of a shortboard.

↑ Back to topFirewire Sweet Potato Helium 2
The Firewire Sweet Potato Helium 2 is the board that put shaper Dan Mann on the map. Designed for weak to average surf in the 1–4 foot range, it features a wide outline, full rails, and a deep double barrel concave that splits the board when tilted — adding drive and a loose feeling through turns. The new swallowtail increases maneuverability for tighter pocket turns without sacrificing the projection and speed in gutless surf. A five-fin setup gives you thruster control or quad speed depending on conditions.
Built on Helium 2 construction — Firewire's lightest technology, with a stringerless 1.0 lb EPS foam core and Paulownia and Balsa wood rails for controlled flex and lively rebound. As Rob Machado puts it: "Helium is light and lively, and great for generating speed in weak waves." The wide design allows you to ride it considerably shorter than a standard shortboard while maintaining paddle power.
Best for: Any surfer who wants to stop dreading small days. This board converts knee-high to chest-high surf into something genuinely fun.

↑ Back to topFirewire Machadocado Helium 2
The Firewire Machadocado Helium 2 is Rob Machado's most versatile hybrid shape — designed from an avocado outline mixed with the DNA of a fish and the performance of a shortboard. The avocado-inspired profile makes wave catching easy by packing more volume into a shorter outline. It's slightly wider and thicker than a standard shortboard, which means excellent stability and early planing in smaller waves. A double concave through the body transitions to a vee through the fin cluster, making rail-to-rail transitions unusually smooth.
Built on Helium 2 construction for a light, lively feel that generates speed in weak waves. Rob recommends the Machado 2+1 fin set — a twin-plus-trailer template that enables tight turns and controlled arcs while providing the glide and slide of a twin fin. The board excels knee-high to overhead, making it ideal for spots like Diamond Head and Waikiki.
Best for: Intermediate to advanced surfers who want a versatile small-to-medium wave hybrid that rides shorter and paddles better than a shortboard.

↑ Back to topFCS Fins — Harley Ingleby Sets & Carver Performance Core Back In Stock
Four FCS fin sets are back in stock this week, headlined by three Harley Ingleby signature sets — one of the most respected longboard and mid-length fin shapers working today. A high-performance Carver Performance Core thruster set rounds out the selection.
FCS II Harley Ingleby Single Fin 5.5" Black
The FCS II Harley Ingleby Single Fin 5.5" is designed by World Longboard Champion Harley Ingleby to add tail release to longer boards. The 5.5" size is suited for performance longboards, surf SUPs, and 2+1 setups — particularly for surfers over 85kg / 190 lbs who want maximum speed and drive. Built in Performance Core (PC) construction: a multi-layered resin transfer molding process with a progressive flex pattern from base to tip, maintaining drive and hold through turns. Versatile and lightweight.
Compatible with the FCS II Tool-Less Longboard System — no fin key required, adjustable mid-surf. Works in a wide range of conditions from beach breaks to point breaks. The small single fin design is specifically calibrated to provide more tail release than a full-size center fin, encouraging a looser, more pivoting feel on the tail.
Best for: Longboard surfers who want a World Champion's signature fin template in the FCS II tool-less system.

↑ Back to topFCS II Thruster Carver Performance Core White Edition
The FCS II Thruster Carver Performance Core White Edition is part of FCS's Essential Series — four core shortboard templates combined with Performance Core construction and a clean all-white finish. The Carver template is built for power: an elongated template with a high degree of sweep that provides exceptional hold off the bottom, especially when surfing point breaks and open-faced waves. Designed for boards with deep concaves and moderate-to-extreme rocker.
The White Edition is a direct callback to the days of fixed white fins — a simple, clean look that pairs with any board and delivers the proven Carver feel. Available in Medium and Large. Performance Core material uses a multi-layered resin transfer molding process that extends flex progressively from base to tip, maintaining drive and hold through turns while staying lightweight.
Best for: Shortboard surfers who generate power through the bottom turn and want a fin that delivers drawn-out, held arcs rather than quick pivots.

↑ Back to topFCS II Harley Ingleby Quad Fins Black XXL
The FCS II Harley Ingleby Quad XXL is World Longboard Champion Harley Ingleby's signature quad set — an XXL template delivering maximum speed and drive for powerful surfers. Ideal for performance longboards and surf SUPs. Built in Performance Core construction, the multi-layered resin transfer molding process provides a progressive flex pattern from base to tip, maintaining control through turns. Compatible with the FCS II fin system — no new boxes, plates, or screws required, fits most existing longboard fin boxes.
The quad setup generates speed without center fin drag, making it particularly effective in smaller, more open waves where you want the board to glide and generate down-the-line speed. The XXL sizing is appropriate for larger boards and heavier surfers where standard-sized fins produce an uncontrolled, loose feel.
Best for: Performance longboard and surf SUP riders over 85 kg / 190 lbs who want maximum speed and drive in a quad configuration.

↑ Back to topFCS II Harley Ingleby Longboard Tri Fins Black XXL
The FCS II Harley Ingleby Longboard Tri set is World Longboard Champion Harley Ingleby's XL thruster template — delivering maximum speed and drive for powerful longboard surfers. Comes with 2 side fins and 1 center fin. The side fins are designed for the FCS II Tool-Less Longboard System. Built in Performance Core construction — the progressive flex pattern extends from base to tip, providing superior hold through turns while staying lightweight and versatile. Recommended for surfers over 85 kg / 190 lbs.
Ideal for performance longboards, surf SUPs, and 2+1 configurations. Suitable for a wide range of conditions from beach breaks to point breaks. The thruster setup on a longboard provides a different feel than a single fin or quad — more hold through powerful sections, better control in steep pockets, while still allowing the long, drawn turns that longboarding is built around.
Best for: Longboard and surf SUP surfers who want a World Champion's signature thruster template with FCS II tool-less convenience.

↑ Back to topVeia — New Explorer Aero Rack Pad & Truck Pad Tailgate Restocked
Veia makes premium vehicle transport accessories for surfers — rack pads, tailgate pads, and soft racks built to protect boards and vehicles. Two items available this week: a new arrival and a restocked favorite.
Veia Explorer Aero Rack Pad — Night
The Veia Explorer Aero Rack Pad in Night (71cm) is a new arrival this week. It's a low-profile roof rack pad designed to protect boards and crossbars during transport. The aero design fits flat car rack bars — pair with Veia tie-down straps to get your boards there in one piece. At 71cm wide, it covers standard crossbar spreads on most vehicles.
The Night colorway is a clean, dark finish. Veia backs their gear with a lifetime warranty. If you're putting boards on the roof regularly, the low-profile construction reduces wind resistance compared to standard padded bars.
Best for: Surfers with flat crossbar roof racks who transport boards by car and want a low-profile, durable pad that holds up long-term.

↑ Back to topVeia Truck Pad Tailgate
The Veia Truck Pad Tailgate is back in stock. Built to resist anything thrown at it while safely transporting your surfboard to the beach — a durable tarpaulin coating over 600D Cordura stitch, with an anodized cam lock strap. It's made to last and backed by Veia's lifetime warranty. Folds flat when not in use.
If you're running boards in the back of a truck regularly, this protects both your tailgate and your boards. The 600D Cordura construction is the same material used in premium luggage and surf travel bags — it doesn't compress down or lose shape after repeated use the way cheaper pads do.
Best for: Pickup truck owners who transport surfboards in the bed and want a tailgate pad built to last.

↑ Back to topSolarez — Pro Travel Repair Kits Back In Stock
Solarez is the standard for UV-cure surfboard repair. Their travel kits are compact enough to pack for a surf trip and effective enough to handle real damage in the field.
Solarez Epoxy Pro Travel Kit
The Solarez Epoxy Pro Travel Kit is built for epoxy and EPS surfboards — which includes most modern Firewire boards and any board built on an EPS foam core. Using a polyester repair product on an epoxy board can cause the foam to dissolve, so having the correct kit matters.
The travel format is compact and self-contained — UV-cure resin, sandpaper, and mixing tools in one kit. Repairs cure in sunlight in minutes rather than waiting overnight. It's the kind of thing you don't think about until you need it, and then you're glad it's in your bag.
Best for: Surfers with epoxy or EPS boards who want a reliable, compact repair kit for travel or home use.

↑ Back to topSolarez Poly Pro Travel Kit
The Solarez Poly Pro Travel Kit is the version for traditional polyester (PU) surfboards — the majority of custom-shaped boards and most production boards from brands that haven't moved to epoxy construction. Same UV-cure format, same compact travel design, formulated for the correct resin system.
If you're unsure which board construction you have: PU boards are typically heavier and have a painted or gloss finish; epoxy boards are lighter and often have a matte or sanded finish. When in doubt, bring both kits — they're inexpensive enough that having the wrong one on a trip is a bigger problem than carrying an extra kit.
Best for: Surfers with traditional polyester/PU surfboards who want a reliable field repair kit.
