Harley Ingleby × Thunderbolt Red Surfboards
Australian shaper Harley Ingleby is one of the most respected names in high-performance longboarding and mid-length surfing. His collaboration with Thunderbolt Red technology produces boards that combine refined design with a construction built for responsiveness and durability. Four models are in stock this week — sizes are moving fast.
Harley Ingleby MOE
The Harley Ingleby MOE is a high-performance funboard designed for surfers who want to go shorter without losing paddling power. Released in 2022, the MOE quickly gained recognition for its innovative design — the board shifts volume back under the chest, making it easier to paddle while enhancing foot placement toward the tail for better control. This eliminates the need to shuffle around to find the sweet spot. The MOE blends stability, speed, and maneuverability, performing well from knee-high to 3 feet overhead. Available in lengths from 7'2" to 8'0", with widths around 22" to 22½" across the range — the 7'2" model runs 49.4 liters of volume, while the 8'0" carries 60 liters.
Best for: Intermediate to advanced surfers looking to go shorter without sacrificing paddle power. Ideal for small to medium waves in a variety of conditions.

↑ Back to topHarley Ingleby HIHP Speed
The Harley Ingleby HIHP Speed is the newest addition to Harley's legendary HIHP lineup. The tips are slightly pointier — akin to the Diamond Drive — and the wide point has been shifted back a few inches, delivering a tighter turn radius in the pocket and improved control in powerful waves. The HIHP Speed maintains its low rails and signature HP rocker, keeping the board distinctly Harley Ingleby. One of its most surprising qualities is an unexpected nose riding ability — despite being a narrow performance longboard, it excels in nose rides even in sections where previous models fell short. Rides as a thruster or quad.
Best for: Longboarders seeking precision and versatility — a high-performance shape that handles critical sections and nose riding with equal confidence.

↑ Back to topHarley Ingleby HIBT 3+3
The Harley Ingleby x Tolhurst HIBT 3+3 is billed as three boards in one — it rides as a true quad, true twin, or asymmetrical setup. This is the first full Tolhurst x Ingleby collaboration, built from scratch with more R&D than any previous model. The tuned-up BT Twin rocker delivers exceptional speed and drive, and all sizes deliver fast, responsive performance even as a quad. Built in Thunderbolt Red construction — Thunderbolt's first proprietary blank featuring carbon fiber internal flex components, hand-laminated with 6oz and 2oz fiberglass cloth on both top and bottom for a balanced feel with a medium rebound rate.
Best for: Surfers who want a performance shortboard with maximum versatility. Available in 5'10", 6'0", 6'2", 6'6", 6'10", and 7'2".

↑ Back to topHarley Ingleby MID 6
The Harley Ingleby MID 6 is a high-performance midlength 6-channel surfboard designed to deliver maximum mid-length performance across all wave types. Its fine, round pin tail, curvy plan shape, smooth rocker, and slight nose flip make it equally comfortable turning deep in the pocket or riding long open-face arcs. The high nose rails fade to mid tucked and low hard in the tail, foiled from the center — providing a nice balance of drive through sections while maintaining hold through tight turning arcs. The six channels provide immediate response without compromising the ability to change lines, and generate explosive acceleration out of turns. The MID 6 has proven itself in all conditions, from playful waves to powerful surf.
Best for: Surfers who want maximum performance from a midlength board across a wide range of wave types. Equally suited for daily conditions and more powerful surf.

↑ Back to topTakayama Fins — HSS Exclusive
The Takayama fin collection is an HSS Exclusive — you won't find these at other surf shops in Hawaii. Designed by Donald Takayama for longboarders who want precise trim and control. Two models available this week.
Takayama DT Flex Fin
The Takayama DT Flex Fin was designed by Donald Takayama and made by Larry Allison in California. This exclusive floral colorway was made specifically for Hawaiian South Shore — you won't find it anywhere else. The fin features a hybrid pivot-rake design that delivers the nose riding stability of a pivot fin combined with the performance drive and turning of a rake fin. What makes it unique is its spine-driven tip flex — a structural spine runs along the front edge, allowing the tip to flex side-to-side like a fishtail rather than fold under pressure. The result is better drive and projection down the line. Over the years others have tried to replicate this fin. None have matched it.
Best for: Longboarders who want one fin that handles nose riding and performance turning without compromise — and who value fins with genuine design heritage, not mass-produced copies.

↑ Back to topTakayama HALO Center Fin
The Takayama HALO Center Fin is a premium longboard fin designed by Donald Takayama for enhanced performance. Based on his original pivot fin design, the HALO features an extended length center fin with a Halo-shaped tip matching side fin geometry, and a reverse-oriented geometry compared to traditional fins. This revolutionary 2+1 system combines traditional and modern fin technology, optimized for both nose riding and performance longboarding. Optimized for longboards 8'6" and above; works well on mid-length boards from 7'6" to 8'6". Best performance is achieved when paired with matching Halo side fins.
Best for: Longboarders on boards 8'6" and above looking to improve turning radius while maintaining drive — and those who want efficient turns from multiple foot positions.
