Thunderbolt Surfboards - Restocked
The wait is over. Four of the most sought-after Thunderbolt Red surfboards are back in stock at Hawaiian South Shore. These premium longboards represent the pinnacle of modern surfboard construction, combining traditional shaping wisdom with cutting-edge materials technology. The Thunderbolt Red construction delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring your board performs at the highest level while remaining incredibly durable.
This week's restock includes two boards from Harley Ingleby, one of Australia's most respected longboard shapers, and two from CJ Nelson, whose designs have earned a devoted following among performance-minded longboarders worldwide. Each board offers a unique approach to wave riding, from easy-paddling funboards to classic noseriders.
Harley Ingleby MOE
Released in 2022, the Harley Ingleby MOE quickly gained recognition for its innovative design and versatility. This funboard is ideal for surfers who want to go shorter without losing paddling power. The MOE's design shifts volume back under the chest, making it easier to paddle and enhancing foot placement toward the tail for better control.
Key Features of the MOE
The MOE's pulled-in outline and wide tail enable smooth rail-to-rail transitions, making it responsive and dynamic. It performs exceptionally well in a range of wave conditions, from knee-high to 3' overhead, making it particularly suited for small to medium waves. Key differences in size affect the board's thickness and volume—the 7'2" model is slimmer with 49.4 liters of volume, while the 8'0" model is thicker with 60 liters of volume. For smaller waves, shorter sizes like the 7'2" or 7'4" are recommended for precision and ease of maneuvering. In bigger swells, the larger 8'0" offers more float and stability.

CJ Nelson Parallax Plus

FCS II Harley Ingleby Fins - New Arrival
Harley Ingleby's new HIBT 3+3 model has opened up a whole new world of fin configurations for surfers. These new FCS II Performance Glass fins are designed specifically to complement the HIBT boards, but they work beautifully on any compatible surfboard. The versatility of the 3+3 fin system lets you ride as a true quad, true twin, or an asymmetrical quad and twin setup—it's like having three boards in one.
FCS II Harley Ingleby HIBT Quad Set
The HIBT Quad Set comprises the Reactor Large thruster template and the Performer Large quad rear fins. As a thruster, this pivotal set encourages tighter radius turns on longer boards due to the upright nature of the fins. As a quad set, it will feel fast, smooth, and predictable while encouraging a more drawn-out turn. Both configurations are designed to offer a feeling of control, with the freedom to surf radically on a mid-length.
FCS II Harley Ingleby HIBT Twin Set
The HIBT Twin Set features the highest area twin set in the FCS range—as a result, it can be pushed harder through turns. The moderate sweep (rake), full tip, and longer base deliver incredible drive and speed. Lower depth value maintains maneuverability and looseness off the top and through turns. Designed in collaboration with Harley Ingleby for use on his new HIBT 3+3 model, when paired with the Quad Set, all configurations on the HIBT 3+3 will be available.
This is a true twin fin set and does not include a stabilizer center fin. It's designed to fit the FCS II Fin System and is recommended for all board types including fish, funboard, and twin fin boards.
