Surfing The Future With Kelly Slater's Cymatic
🚀 Lane Love both his Cymatic and Sci-Fi 2.0. Check out his review here.
Model: Cymatic. A high-performance hybrid that provides added speed without sacrificing maneuverability or the ability to thrive in real waves.
Ability: Intermediate surfers will find that this board ups their paddle and down-the-line speed, but still allows them to surf aggressively and in a high-performance manner. Expert surfers will enjoy the added speed in smaller, less powerful waves and feel confident in well overhead waves.
Type of waves: Provides much-needed speed in small, grovel-type conditions, but can also handle hollower, punchier waves. Ideal in anything from two-foot faces in Town to way past double overhead in the Country.
Fin setup: Five-fin in FCS II or Futures.
Construction: Linear Flex Technology provides the ultimate in lightweight, ultra-strong, responsive construction.
Description: A hybrid Tomo’s popular Omni and Sci-Fi models, the Cymatic features a fuller template and rounded nose that increases volume, allowing the board to be ridden shorter than your standard shortboard. Increased overall rocker and exaggerated tail kick give the board a tighter turning radius, allowing for high-performance surfing in larger waves, while the increased volume makes the board a great groveler. The reduced length also makes the board easier to pump and maneuver in the barrel, making the Cymatic a great all-rounder for progressive surfing.
