The Lost Sub Driver 3.0 is a small wave performance shortboard built around the proven Sub Driver lineage — updated with a refined outline, new rails, and a fuller nose for more drive in average to sub-par surf. It's the board for surfers who refuse to downgrade to a fish or hybrid when conditions are less than ideal.

WHEN
The Sub Driver 3.0 excels in small to overhead surf, with its sweet spot in average to below-average conditions — waist-high to a few feet overhead, soft and punchy, beach break or reef. It's specifically designed to generate speed and drive in waves that don't offer much power on their own, making it a go-to when lineups are inconsistent and sections are quick to die. In Hawaii, where days can shift between punchy short-period energy and soft, rolling walls, the Sub Driver 3.0 holds its own across a wide range of what shows up.
WHAT
The Sub Driver 3.0 is built around a wide point set noticeably back between the feet, which creates a hip in the outline before sweeping into a moderately wide swallow tail. That set-back curve is the key to the board's feel — it positions the pivot point under your back foot, making the board turn with very little effort while keeping drive through your bottom turns. The bottom contour runs a deep single concave through the center, maxing out between the feet, then extends into a double concave through the tail with a distinctive vee behind the rear fin. This combination accelerates through sections and maintains speed in weak, flat spots where other boards stall.
The entry rocker is moderate — enough to get quick off the bottom and wrap the rail through turns — balanced against a low, flat tail rocker that drives down the line fast. The swallow tail reduces surface area at the back to maintain pivot, while keeping enough width for hold and speed. Updated with a fuller nose outline, revised deck line, and refined rails compared to the Sub Driver 2.0, the 3.0 surfs closer to a true performance shortboard than any previous Sub Driver version.

CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS
PU (Polyurethane): Traditional polyurethane foam with fiberglass and polyester resin. Delivers the classic shortboard feel — flex, drive, and weight underfoot.
Lightspeed II: Lost's proprietary construction using high-tensile S-Glass and Innegra composite in place of carbon fiber. Lighter and livelier than PU, with a smoother flex that reduces chatter compared to traditional epoxy builds.
Blacksheep: Tri-directional carbon fiber deck wrap over an EPS core, stopping at the rails to preserve torsional flex. Lightweight and responsive with a lively feel.
