The Mini Driver is built to work when conditions are average just as well as when they turn on. Its low-ish entry rocker, extra width, and generous planing area let it catch waves early and hold speed through soft, punchy surf that would leave a narrower performance shortboard struggling. When the swell fills in, the foiled, rounded pin tail and tighter tail rocker take over — locking into the pocket and holding through solid, hollow conditions at reef breaks and point breaks. It's the board built to go from an average day to a genuinely good one without a board change in between.

The Mini Driver started life as a wider round-pin version of Lost's Driver, shortened up front — the nose trimmed down and the tip reshaped — to create a shorter, wider outline that keeps plenty of paddle power and a fast, low entry rocker up front. Out back, the foiled, rounded pin tail carries a modest rocker that stays locked in when the pace picks up, and five fin boxes let the board be set up as a thruster for control or a quad for extra drive and speed depending on the day.

To balance those performance-oriented tail refinements, the board carries more width and volume in the forward section. The nose outline is slightly wider, and the foil is thicker along the stringer line — which means the paddle is strong and the wave entry is forgiving without softening any of the tail's responsiveness. The round tail is wide and confidence-inspiring under the rear foot, with just enough pull-in at the tip to hold through critical, committed surfing. PU construction gives the board the traditional flex, feel, and weight that high-performance shortboarding has been built on for decades.

Lightspeed II: Lost's S-Glass and Innegra composite epoxy construction — a fully carbon-free layup engineered for a lighter build and smoother flex than earlier composite technology.
