Step-Up Surfboards

A little more board for bigger waves.

A step-up is shaped like your everyday shortboard but is usually one to four inches longer, about the same width and slightly thicker. It is for days when the waves are bigger and more powerful than your daily board can handle. The extra length and foam help you paddle in earlier and control your speed. A gun is longer still, built for much bigger surf.
