This board suits surfers who want to trim the nose and surf hard off the tail on the same board.

The Ibis is built for longboard waves with some push to them: clean walls with enough shape to set a rail, lined-up waves with a pocket to trim through, and days that stand up steep enough to turn hard off the top. The flatter belly keeps it gliding and carrying speed through softer sections, while the kick in the tail and the performance rails keep it tight and in control when the wave gets steeper and faster. When the surf picks up, adding side bites gives it extra drive and hold. It works across the range of longboard waves you find around Hawaii, from mellow rolling walls to faster, more critical lines.

The Ibis starts from a high-performance longboard template shaped for speed and control. A concave through the nose creates lift and a defined platform for noserides and tip time. The rocker is modest for a high-performance longboard: flatter through the middle so the board glides and builds speed, with kick in the tail so it can turn tight and release off the top. The rails are narrower and more defined than the 50/50 rails on a traditional log, which is what lets the Ibis hold through a hard carve and drive through the turn instead of sliding out. The 2+1 fin setup lets the board surf two ways: loose and traditional as a single fin, or with more drive and hold with side bites added.

Thunderbolt Red: A hand-laminated EPS foam core with internal carbon fiber flex components and 6oz + 2oz fiberglass on the top and bottom. Balanced and predictable with a medium rebound rate, it's Thunderbolt's most versatile, user-friendly construction.

Thunderbolt Black: A hand-laminated EPS foam core with internal fiberglass flex components and 6oz carbon fiber + 2oz fiberglass on the top and bottom. It's Thunderbolt's lightest construction, with the fastest rebound rate, built for speed and control.

• Stations outside of Alaska and Hawai'i, operated by Alaska and Hawaiian Air Cargo: Storage fees will be assessed after 72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. Minimum charge: $40 per day
