The OVA is designed for surfers of all abilities and thrives in all conditions. Ideal for those transitioning up from a shortboard or down from a longboard, the OVA has a forward wide point for easier paddling, flowing into a rounded tail. It features a relaxed rocker and a unique foil that balances volume with performance.
The bottom includes a hull entry that flows into a central single concave, finishing with a spiral V through the tail. Soft 50/50 rails transition into a sharp tucked edge at the tail. This combination makes the OVA fast, smooth while trimming, and highly responsive on rail. The hull entry and soft rails allow for turns you might not expect, delivering glide, flow, and surprising agility—even from the middle of the board.
The Ova has a few fin options. For a single fin setup, run Ben’s 9" Skindog SUB Center. As a quad, go with NPJ Quartet Quads or TJ’s Quads. For a 2+1 setup, choose the NPJ 2+1 Center Fin and Sides, or CJ’s 7.5" Performance Centerwith Skylimit Sides.

OG DOUBLE SCOOP
The Ben Skinner OG Double Scoop is a modern noserider built around a Formula 1–inspired idea: use the deck of the board, not just the bottom, to control how water flows through a noseride. Designed by 8x European Longboard Champion Ben Skinner and built by Thunderbolt, it's a single-fin longboard that trims long and stable up front and turns sharper than a traditional noserider once you step back.
WHO
The OG Double Scoop is for the longboarder who wants a noserider that's actually progressive — long, stable tip time without giving up real response off the tail.
- The dedicated noserider who wants more lift and hold up front than a traditional log delivers
- The classic longboarder ready for a more modern shape but unwilling to give up the wider hips and curvier feel
- The progressive longboarder who wants a single fin that turns sharper than a typical noserider when they step back
- The experienced longboarder building a quiver who wants one board that handles glassy small days and bigger, steeper sessions
- The technical surfer drawn to the F1-inspired hydrodynamic design and the engineering behind it
This is the board for the longboarder who wants tip time and turns from the same shape.
WHEN
The OG Double Scoop is built for the full range of longboard surf — softer, lined-up waves where you need to generate speed and lock in long noserides, clean peeling walls where you can trim, step, and hang ten, and stronger days with real shoulder where the board has to hold a line through a steeper drop and respond to turns off the tail. The deep double concave in the deck lets it carry serious time on the nose in conditions most modern noseriders struggle with, and the pulled-in rounded square tail gives it enough bite to handle bigger, more critical walls. Hawaii's mix of glassy summer lines and stronger winter swells covers the exact range this board was designed for.
WHAT
The defining feature of the OG Double Scoop is its "spoiler effect" — a flipped deck line with a deep double concave shaped into the back third of the board. As water flows over the tail during a noseride, the design captures and channels that water across the deck and into the flipped tail, holding more water and creating extra lift and speed control on the nose. Ben designed it after studying Formula 1 aerodynamics and translating those downforce principles into hydrodynamics for a surfboard. The plan shape pulls the wide point back to create a wider area in front of the fin and a curvier, pulled-in rounded square tail. On the bottom, a long single concave runs from the nose through to the bottom third, where it transitions into a rolled vee out the tail with a concave behind the fin — a tri-hulled tail design that gives the board sharper, more powerful turns when you step back.
