PJ PRO OG DESCRIPTION

WHAT IS LOST PJ PRO OG?

Lost Puddle Jumper OG

Key Advantages

🌊 Effortless Wave Catching - Significant width, low rocker, and forward outline make paddling and wave entry incredibly easy

Fast & Drivey Performance - Low rocker design with wide nose and tail delivers maximum speed and skating ability on small waves

🎯 Small Wave Specialist - One of the original modern "groveler" specific shapes designed for smaller surf conditions

🔄 Surprising Maneuverability - Hyper-curved rail line rocker transforms flat board into turning machine once put on rail

Perfect For You If

✓ You're tired of struggling to catch waves in smaller surf conditions

✓ You want a board that makes 1-2 foot waves actually fun and surfable

✓ You need maximum paddle power and wave-catching ability in small surf

✓ You're looking for a proven groveler design with worldwide credibility

✓ You want performance potential that allows real turns in tiny conditions

Technology Behind the Magic

The Lost Puddle Jumper OG represents one of the original modern "groveler" specific shapes that caught fire around the world. The magic comes from the sophisticated rail and bottom engineering designed specifically for small wave performance.

The hyper-curved rail line rocker runs parallel to the stringer near the nose, then exaggerates into a deep single concave that swoops back down to a significant vee under the rear foot.

This high arcing rail line, combined with a double concave vee in the tail, creates the board's signature lively ride quality. There's enough curve in the accelerating rail rocker to loosen up and transform the relatively flat board into a turning machine, especially once put on rail.

The significant width, low rocker, forward outline, with wide nose and tail work together to make paddling, catching waves and skating along on small waves effortless while maintaining the turning potential needed for actual surfing.

LOST LIGHTSPEED II CONSTRUCTION

What is Lost Lightspeed II Construction?

Lightspeed II is Lost Surfboards' latest proprietary construction technology that builds upon the foundation of their original Lightspeed design while introducing significant material improvements. Lightspeed II maintains the same foundation as the original Lightspeed but introduces new materials for ultra-light and ultra-fast performance.

The revolutionary aspect of Lightspeed II lies in its complete elimination of carbon fiber components. Instead, Lost has developed a custom-engineered combination of high-tensile S-Glass and Innegra composite materials that deliver what the original Lightspeed promised, but with dramatically improved ride characteristics.

The Foundation: Same Base as Original Lightspeed

Lightspeed II maintains the same foundation as the original Lightspeed technology, providing the essential platform for the new material innovations.

Revolutionary Material Technology: S-Glass and Innegra

The heart of Lightspeed II's innovation lies in its advanced material composition. Lost has replaced every carbon component from the original Lightspeed with carefully engineered alternatives that provide superior performance characteristics.

High-Tensile S-Glass Construction

S-Glass offers increased bend range before creasing or buckling compared to carbon, delivering longer board life under pressure. This represents a significant advantage in terms of durability and longevity.

Innegra Composite Integration

Innegra fibers are the secret weapon in Lightspeed II's arsenal. These advanced composite fibers are specifically engineered for dampening vibrations and reducing the harsh, chattery feel that many high-performance epoxy boards can exhibit. The result is a board that maintains all the speed and responsiveness you expect while delivering a smoother, more controlled ride.

LOST BLACKSHEEP CONSTRUCTION

Matt Biolos and the team at LOST Surfboards have introduced their innovation in surfboard construction: Black Sheep Technology.

This groundbreaking approach to carbon fiber construction delivers an electric, lively feel while maintaining durability and performance.

The defining feature of Black Sheep boards is their unique tri-directional carbon fiber deck wrap. Unlike traditional carbon constructions, this specialized layup uses three distinct directional layers: one running nose to tail and two at opposing 45-degree angles. This configuration creates a responsive flex pattern while preventing the board from becoming too stiff.

"We wanted to make a really pliable, forgiving, lively kind of playful construction," explains Biolos. The construction keeps carbon only on the deck, stopping at the rails to maintain torsional flex and prevent the board from becoming overly rigid.

Each Black Sheep board features:

  • 1.5-pound EPS core
  • Double-layered fiberglass bottom
  • Tri-directional carbon fiber deck
  • Non-crimp weave technology for optimal strength

The result? A lightweight, responsive board that maintains durability while delivering performance in various conditions. Pro surfers are already embracing the technology, with extensive testing at wave pools and in ocean conditions showing promising results.
