G6

The Harley Ingleby G6 is a high-performance longboard designed by 2x World Longboard Champion Harley Ingleby for surfers who want a board built specifically for the days when their everyday longboard is overmatched. Six channels through the bottom and a faster, drivier rocker turn it into an acceleration machine in chest-high and bigger surf.

WHO

The G6 is for the longboarder who already has a daily-driver and wants a second board built for the bigger, cleaner days.

  • The experienced longboarder who wants more drive, hold, and acceleration than a traditional log can deliver
  • The progressive longboarder who already loves to surf in the pocket and wants a board that locks in there at speed
  • The competitive or contest-minded longboarder looking for a high-performance shape tuned for quality surf
  • The longboarder who has watched their everyday board get pushed around when the swell jumps and wants something that holds the line
  • The traveling longboarder who wants a dedicated good-wave board to pair with their everyday shape

This is the board you reach for when the surf turns on.

WHEN

The G6 is built for quality surf in the chest-high-and-up range, where there's enough power in the wave to engage the channels and turn them into speed and grip. It comes alive on cleaner faces with real shoulder, in steeper pocket sections that demand control, and in larger or hollower conditions where most longboards start to feel out of their depth. Hawaii's better days — when the trades back off and the swell lines up — are exactly the window this board is designed to take advantage of. It's not a small-day longboard, and it's not trying to be.

WHAT

The G6's defining design feature is six channels running through the bottom of the board. Channels add acceleration by guiding water cleanly off the tail instead of letting it spill out the rails, and they add hold by giving the board multiple grip points when it's set on edge in a powerful section. Paired with the channels is a unique continual rocker — flatter and straighter through the tail than Harley's standard HP rocker, which is what gives the G6 its drive and pocket control, with an extended nose lift that helps the front of the board stay free in steep drops and harder turns. The result is a longboard that wants to go fast in good surf and rewards the surfer who pushes it.
