I tried out the Hawaiian South Shore 3.5" small box fin trailer on my Harley Ingleby HI4 Carbon Black. I paired it with the Power Twins, which was a setup Dave recommended to me. Compared to other setups Iāve tried, I noticed it feels a little bit more "skatey," similar to a quad. You lose a tiny bit of driveāmaybe only about 10% to 20%ābut you aren't sacrificing control when going up and down the face of the wave. It definitely felt faster, and adding that stabilizer gives the board a little more hold through turns without losing too much drive. You can still definitely walk the board, too. Itās a great setup.

exactly as advertised the 3.5 center fin is quite a change for the longboard. try one, you will like it. SouthShore was excellent from order to delivery.

Not until now do I understand the small thruster concept š. I previously used a 2 +1 set up with a longer thruster. This small thruster in tandem with the twin fins, provided good stability - could especially feel the difference while turning. I noticed the difference in my riding on some before & after vidsš„š¤©. Super stoked I chanced āem and tried something new! It helped me better connect with the wave and progress my surfing. Yew

Unreal. I was so skeptical that I could nose ride with this setup, but I was hanging ten on it even on a smaller day. I did not believe it at allāthis thing is action! The amount of thrust I got when I pumped the board was incredible; it actually made my board fast, and my board is usually slow. I started by hanging five and then worked up to hanging ten, and the board never slid out or came out of the water. I put the center fin just a little bit back in the box like recommended, and it worked perfectly. 10 out of 10 product.
The fins were super good, my goodness. I'm using them on the Harley HiHP. I'm using them with the power twins and that small stabilizer, the 3.5-inch one. I went out yesterday when it was like 3 to 4 feet, and the thing was holding super good. It was top to bottom, quick, and responsive. I was doubting it because I'm not used to changing my fins, but it was the best move I made.
Use this 3.5 inch center fin on my 8'0 MOE along with 5inch FCS HI-1 side fins. This combination provides great hold and superior turning than the quad setups I was using.

This fin set up worked really well for my 8'0 MOE. More responsive than the quad set ups and great hold. Side fins are FCS HI-1 5 inch. The center fin is the 3.5 inch recently purchased from Hawaiian Southshore. Aloha, Teddy

This new fin setup unlocked more potential in my surfing. I usually ride my boards 2+1 or single but ended up throwing the twin + stabilizer on my 8ā0 Moe and I am stoked on how well it turns. Think of the feeling of a twin but with more drive and stability. This stabilizer fin gives it that small balance thatās needed. I used this setup in knee high waves to overhead. I highly recommend adding this fin setup to your arsenal. š¤š¾

I like the fin, but the base/post was really thick and took a ton of sanding to fit inside the fin box in the board
