Agreement
Rental Period: Starts at pickup and ends upon return.
Purchase Option: First two days’ rental fees apply to a new board purchase within 30 days with receipt.
Responsibility/Damages: I am responsible for any damage or loss to rental equipment, including dings. If the board is buckled or broken in half, I will pay full retail value.
Release: I release Hawaiian South Shore LLC from all claims related to surfing risks.
Indemnification: I will indemnify the company against claims arising from my use of the board.
Cancellation Terms
By renting with us, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. You agree that if you cancel your rental, the refund will be issued as a gift card that can be used for future rental fees. This applies to all rental cancellations, whether made before or during the rental period.

I currently ride the Sweet Potato 5'8" in Helium technology. It’s super explosive and perfect for small days—it’s springy and pivots in the pocket really well. However, the Helium can feel a little 'squiggly' or shaky when the surf gets a bit better. I’m upgrading to the 5'10" in Volcanic technology for more stability and paddle power as I get older. The Volcanic feels a bit heavier, which I expect will hold up better during decent swells. I usually ride this board in anything from waist to head-high waves at Ala Moana and Kewalos. I prefer a thruster setup because it gives me that pivot in the pocket

I’m 6'0" and 185 lbs, and I recently rented the 6'0" Firewire Sweet Potato with 49 liters of volume. I surfed it at Canoes and Ala Moana Bowls, and it is an absolute wave-catching machine—you can catch waves that longboarders aren't even paddling for. I used the Machado Twin Plus One fin setup, which provided plenty of speed and drive while still allowing for great pivot and turns. Even with the high volume, the flotation was perfect and the board was very maneuverable. It was awesome.

I usually ride 8' longboards, so I was a bit hesitant to downsize, but the 6'0" Sweet Potato turned out to be a great recommendation from the team. I'm about 5'3.5" and 120 lbs, and the board had more than enough volume for me—it paddled easily and caught more waves than I expected. I rode it with a twin plus trailer fin setup and surfed at Kwalls, Diamond Head, and Tong over two days. Conditions were clean, and the board felt super stable and fun. It even had enough float for a quick rescue when someone lost their leash—definitely solid volume! If you're coming from a longboard background like me, this is a great transitional board. Easy to paddle, easy to surf, and a lot of fun.

I recently purchased the 5'6 Sweet Potato model and have been blown away by its performance. I typically ride boards in the 30-31 liter range but went up to the 37 liter Sweet Potato for some more float in our weak, gutless summer waves. However, this thing absolutely rips!

My name is Derrin from Hawaii. Got a 6'4 sweet potato My height is 5'8 and weight is maybe 200. The 6'4 is good because now I've also bought a 6'1 Seaside from the guys but then I got to stay in the pocket for that but a 6'4 sweet potato now I can sit outside with the long boards and catch those waves too so now it's more fun because I get more waves even the plain Feel. I get two different setups that I bought from you guys I bought the quad and then I bought also the the twin plus one. I got them set up as a twin plus one and I try to do two different test but so far I kind of like the twin plus one cuz it's like more like the thing don't slide out too

First thought that came to mind, when I first tested the board " Surfing is going to be so much more fun!". As 6'4" guy, it fits perfectly. Handles great, very stable, and turns on a dime. Anyone looking for the next step up I highly recommend! From the design to the exterior color scheme, has people taking a second look. This is the sweet potato I hated it black cleaned, it up with acetone painted it green first and then put dish soap on it and then put the black over it and washed it off. I think it's sick, I am five six and 145. Super fun. I did ride it in quads like this better the twin plus one it's very playful. Right on so fun probably brought it out like shoulder High
