Model: Black Baron 2.1. An updated, three-fin version of the popular Black Baron twin.

Ability: Intermediate to advanced shortboarders looking for extra oomph out of a modern classic.

Type of waves: Waist- to head-high, rippable waves.

Fin setup: FCS and Future twin plus stabilizer.

Construction: The Black Baron 2.1 is available in both PU and HyFi construction.

Description: The Black Baron is a modern twin fin that has become a staple of the JS lineup. Now, the Tractor team has taken this popular model and given it an extra dose of performance. The outline has been stretched a bit (the Black Baron 2.1 is ridden two inches longer than the Black Baron), the rocker has been increased slightly, and the bottom contours have been revamped with modern single to double concave. Most noticeable of all, the twin fin setup has been supplemented with a box for a center stabilizer fin. The result is a board that still flies down the line and floats through fat sections, but the has a bit more of a modern flair when it comes time to hit the lip and put it on rail.
