We started off with the 8'6" Outlier to get my wife to step down from a single-fin log. I quickly claimed it and started riding it, and then we went down to the 8'0". This is now our second 8'0"—same board. We have three of them because it is awesome. I ride it on small days and even when it's waiting for threes. I use a 9 or 12-inch fin, specifically the CJ Nelson Parallax fin, which makes it feel a bit looser. My wife and I both find that this thing paddles just as good as a log. It’s a little bit looser, so you can actually wrap the turns. Some boards you have to figure out, and it takes a little while, but this is one of those boards that you just click with and love straight away. It's super easy to surf, easy to turn, maneuver, and it paddles like a dream. We are super stoked on the board.
