QUIVER KILLER DESCRIPTION

WHAT IS LOST THE QUIVER KILLER?

Product Overview

The Lost Quiver Killer is back—and it’s sharper, sleeker, and smoother than ever. Originally designed as a true one-board quiver, this modern hybrid has been reintroduced with a “Digital Re-Master” that polishes the magic without altering the DNA. Whether you're paddling into mushy summer waves or dropping into head-high reef sets, the Quiver Killer adapts with style, control, and confidence.

It was one of Lost’s most popular boards globally, and for good reason—it blends versatility with high performance, bridging the gap between small wave fun and solid surf performance. And now, with upgraded CAD files and modern materials, it’s not just a comeback—it’s a rebirth.

Key Features

  • The Quiver Killer’s shape offers a continuous curve outline, moderate nose rocker, and slightly pulled-in rounded pin tail. It gives lift in smaller surf and precise control when the waves turn on.
  • A moderate entry rocker allows for early entry and smooth turning initiation. Meanwhile, the lower tail rocker adds drive and speed, especially off the back foot.
  • Designed with a single to slight double concave, the bottom contour promotes fluid rail-to-rail transitions and enhanced flow in all conditions.
Run it as a quad for drive and hold, or switch to a thruster setup for snappy top turns and reliable vertical surfing.

Lost has updated each size with cleaned-up CAD details, making shaping and performance more consistent. Finished with modern, stylish graphics and subtle logo placements for a refined aesthetic.

Who Should Ride the Quiver Killer

If you're looking to simplify your surfboard collection without sacrificing range, the Quiver Killer was made for you. It's a great fit for intermediate surfers looking to step up from a groveler, or advanced riders wanting a board that can truly do it all—from laid-back beach breaks to punchy reef sessions.

Paddle power, down-the-line speed, and confident turning all come built-in. Riders who travel light or want one board to cover their local conditions will especially appreciate its name—and its game.

Ideal Wave Conditions

  • This board thrives in anything from waist-high rollers to well-overhead barrels. It was built to kill the quiver, after all.
  • Generates lift and momentum in weaker surf.
Holds line with confidence, allowing tight arcs and committed drops.
  • Proven performance in all global conditions—from beachies in California to hollow Indo reef passes.

It’s not a groveler. It’s not a step-up. It’s what you ride every day and trust when the surf shifts.

Recommended Fin Setup

The Lost Quiver Killer comes with a 5-fin setup, giving you flexibility to tune the ride:

More control, better vertical surfing in punchy surf.
Adds speed and hold in down-the-line conditions or when you want extra zip.

LOST PU CONSTRUCTION

What Is a PU Surfboard?

Classic Feel. Trusted Build. Time-Tested Performance.

A PU surfboard, short for polyurethane, refers to a surfboard shaped from a polyurethane foam core and laminated with fiberglass cloth using polyester resin. This construction has been the gold standard for decades and remains a favorite among surfers who value that classic board feel. Lost Surfboards and many other leading shapers still use PU for its balanced performance, durability, and smooth flex pattern—especially in everyday conditions and bigger, choppier waves.

Even with the rise of lighter epoxy builds, PU remains a solid go-to for those who want predictable, powerful performance underfoot. Whether you're carving up solid reef breaks or chasing the feel of your first board, PU construction delivers.

Key Characteristics of PU Surfboards

  • PU foam combined with fiberglass and polyester resin creates a forgiving flex pattern. This provides a smoother rail-to-rail transition that feels “buttery” and comfortable—especially appreciated in more critical or textured wave conditions.
  • PU boards tend to be heavier than EPS/Epoxy models, which many surfers appreciate for added drive and momentum down the line. This weight also helps the board handle well in windy or choppy surf.
  • Dings? No big deal. PU/poly boards are easy to repair at home or by any surf shop, with widely available materials and lower costs compared to epoxy builds.
  • Most traditional shortboards and performance boards—including many from Lost, Channel Islands, and Pyzel—were originally designed around PU blanks. That legacy continues with refined shapes and reliable performance today.

When Should You Choose a PU Surfboard?

A PU board is often the best option if:

  • classic surf feel with smooth drive and power.
  • overhead surf, reef breaks, or textured ocean conditions.
  • a bit of extra weight underfoot for better control on the face.

PU constructions are ideal for surfers who prioritize control and consistency over lightweight responsiveness. From seasoned shortboarders to everyday surfers riding waves across Hawaii, PU boards continue to be a trusted option for a reason.

Why We Still Love PU

At Hawaiian South Shore, we believe there’s no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to boards—but PU surfboards hold a unique place in surf culture. They’re the go-to choice for reliable performance, time-tested in waves around the world, and especially dialed for Hawaii’s variable conditions.

LOST LIGHTSPEED 2 CONSTRUCTION

The Quiver Killer also comes in Lightspeed 2 construction.

The boards are epoxy but they use an S Cloth tape on the deck and bottom instead of carbon.

LOST QUIVER KILLER FAQS

How does the Quiver Killer paddle and perform in small surf?

The Quiver Killer paddles exceptionally well in smaller waves thanks to its forward outline and wide nose, which generate strong forward momentum. This shape helps you get into waves early and stay balanced once you're up and riding, making it a dependable choice even when the surf is weak or mushy.

Is the Quiver Killer stable and reliable in powerful waves?

Yes. The rounded pin tail and lower tail rocker help the board maintain control and stability in larger or more powerful surf. It’s designed to turn easily under your back foot without feeling stiff, giving you the confidence to commit to steeper drops or tighter sections.

What fin setup works best for this board?

The Quiver Killer comes as a 5-fin model, offering both thruster and quad setups. Use it as a thruster for more vertical surfing and precise turns, or switch to a quad for added speed and hold when the waves are faster and more down-the-line.

Can the Quiver Killer really replace a full quiver of boards?

Absolutely. This board was specifically designed to handle a wide range of conditions—from 2-foot slop to overhead barrels. Its shape and rocker profile make it adaptable, whether you're surfing beach breaks, points, or reef passes. It’s a true all-in-one solution for surfers who want one board that does it all.

Has the design of the Quiver Killer changed in the newer release?

The core shape and dimensions have stayed the same. The 2025 version was digitally re-mastered using updated CAD files to improve shaping consistency, but the performance and overall ride remain identical to the original. The branding and logos have been refreshed for a cleaner, modern look.

What wave heights is the Quiver Killer best suited for?

It works great in waves ranging from 2 to 6 feet. The board provides lift and speed in smaller surf, while the tail shape and rocker offer excellent control and drive when the surf gets bigger. It’s versatile enough to be your daily driver, even if the conditions change day to day.

How should I choose the right size for me?

Choosing the right size depends on your weight, skill level, and what you're looking for in performance. Since the Quiver Killer has generous width and volume, many surfers go slightly shorter than their typical shortboard length. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to help you get the size that matches your needs.
